Have you seen the Microsoft Big Game commercial about how technology has helped our lives (if you can’t play the video above, check it out here).  It got me thinking about how technology has affected us as a company.

Wait, did I say that? We wouldn’t exist!

Any who… what’s scarier is that we wouldn’t have the ability to empower businesses to run efficiently, and the biggie—increase their ROI.

Bottom line: our customers would be hit hard. They would have a very difficult time maintaining growth. Seriously, who wants to still have the guy at the desk pushing paper and sharpening his pencils to pass time?

Without technology, businesses would be a lot more inefficient with their time. I mean, adapting to change in the market would go at a snail’s pace. Getting feedback from customers would be a door-to-door affair. Ever seen the Play, “Death of a Salesman?” Yikes! I say no!

Alas, at the same time, technology has hurt our lives, I guess.  We live in an age where identities can be stolen in a matter of clicks.  It has made our attention span shorter—wait, what did I just say?  It has removed us from face-to-face interaction and stunted our ability to socialize.  It has made us wasteful of our time, blah, blah, blah… (but seriously, don’t tell my boss I said that because I have a MONSTER gif following on Tumblr and it needs constant care 🙂

Okay…  Just like anything else, it has pros/cons. But what makes technology unique is that its influence in our lives is powerful, almost constantly.  We have the ability to do more, more choices to make and it can change our lives (for better or for worse).
